Hello, my name is Dana.

This blog is my online portfolio, and I will share my work here. I am interested in pursuing a career through graphic design and photography, but I am open to explore more aspects. I aspire to expand my knowledge, as I am still in post secondary.

In Grade 10 of high school, I discovered my interest in photography, so I would always take pictures and post them on my Flickr. It introduced me to the idea of editing photos and giving them a new meaning. A picture is worth a thousand words, and I wanted to express those and more. To this day, I still love photography and I take pictures whenever I can.

In Grades 11 and 12, I have introduced myself to media courses, such as Communications Technology and Photography. These courses really helped shape my decision for the future career I want to pursue.

I am currently attending Seneca’s two year  “Interactive Media Design” program, which allows students to explore the different aspects of digital media, such as graphic design, web development and design, photography and photo editing, audio and video composition, 3D printing, and many more.

I have extensive knowledge in Adobe software applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Bridge, and broad expertise in Dreamweaver and Animate. I also have experience with Avid Pro Tools and Media Composer.

I am also very experienced in Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Publisher, Excel, and Powerpoint. I have used those programs since elementary school for projects and presentations.

Once graduating, I will be eligible to work as a digital media designer, interactive manager, digital media developer, animator, advertising or interactive media for corporate, scientific or educational purposes or interactive design for film, television and businesses.
